Josh Bolaski | Marketing Coordinator, 3D Modeling

Josh graduated from Lynchburg College in 2007 where he earned his B.A. in Graphic Design. After graduating, Josh interned for the residential garden designer and esteemed author Gordon Hayward, where he learned about the fundamentals of small scale landscape design and creating outdoor ‘rooms’ as an extension of the home.

Josh joined the RFD team in 2017 and contributes to the design process by creating immersive digital models as well as utilizing his graphics background to help the team with their marketing material.

Originally from Vermont, Josh moved to Rhode Island in 2009 where he lives with his wife and son and enjoys everything the Ocean State has to offer.


Gerry Kerr | Site Administration, Supervision

Gerry Kerr has been assisting the firm with site administration for the last 6 years. He routinely visits each of the firm's projects while they are under construction. While on site, he documents the progress with photographs and notes any questions the contractor may have for the Project Architect.

Gerry is a trained electrician for more than 45 years and lives in Jamestown with his wife, Ellie, of 58 years. He enjoys building ship models, vacationing in Europe as well as taking on small finish carpentry projects.


Tyler Zagryn | Project Architect

Tyler, a graduate of Roger Williams University located in Bristol, RI, earned his Bachelors of Architecture with a minor focus in Art. While attending college, Tyler worked as a draftsman at Monarch Industries specializing in casework drawings for Nordstrom, Bloomingdales and Foxwoods Casino and Resort.

Tyler brings a tremendous amount of knowledge of the construction industry as well as a strong design background to our design group. Having worked at Kirby Perkins Construction Co. for 6 years, one of the top high-end construction companies on the East Coast, he is armed with an industry standard set of construction details and methods that rival no other. His knowledge of waterproofing, mechanical and structural systems as well as interior millwork construction details gives us an edge in producing construction drawings that are above industry standards and built to the highest quality. He quickly advanced as one of the lead designers on many of their high-end, residential projects. We eagarly welcomed him to RFD Architects in 2014.

Tyler’s professionalism and attention to detail play a key role in his ability to successfully guide clients through the design process.


Laurie Keene | Project Architect, Interior Design

Laurie Keene joined the firm after graduating from the College of the Holy Cross in 2008, where she earned a B.A. in Economics with a minor in Art & Architectural History.

Over the last 7 years, she has trained directly under Ron refining her drafting and construction document skills, as well as gaining invaluable design experience with thoughtful, well-proportioned details. Her degree in Economics has proved beneficial to clients and the firm in maximizing design, space, and budget while overseeing all contracts, including the bidding and negotiation of projects. Additionally, she is proficient in all technology processes for the office, including web design and software programming.

She continued her education at the Boston Architecture College and is presently working toward her Architect registration in both the states of Rhode Island and New York. She lives in Southern Rhode Island, and has spent time studying and documenting historic details in Europe and East and West coast seaside towns.


John Tumino | Senior Project Architect

John Tumino, a senior project architect, joined Ronald F. DiMauro Architects Inc. in 2001 and is involved in all aspects of the firm’s work from programming, to design and construction documents.

John is an integral member of the team and specializes in site analysis. He is extremely knowledgeable with CRMC, DEM and town regulations, many of which effect the oceanfront homes that the firm designs.

Originally from Brooklyn, NY, John attended Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI where he received his Bachelor of Architecture. After graduation, John worked at Bates Masi Architects in Sag Harbor, NY before returning to Newport, Rhode Island where he currently lives.


Ron DiMauro, AIA NCARB| Principal Architect, Founder

Ron has been practicing Architecture for 32 years. He began in the construction field at 18 years old as a carpenter for his father’s design-build firm. He gained valuable insight into the construction trade by beginning by framing a house to finishing with the interiors trim work. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Rhode Island in Landscape Architecture and Fine Arts.

Ron went on to attend the Boston Architectural Center in Boston, MA for his Architectural thesis. In Boston, he worked for numerous award winning firms such as Royal Barry Wills Architects, Hammer Keifer and Todd Architects, and Sasaki Associates before becoming the principal designer at his father’s design-build firm, FC DiMauro & Associates. Together, they designed and built over 80 homes together. Ron has been a registered Architect in the State of Rhode Island since 1994.

In 1996, Ron founded his own Architecture practice. Success moved him to legendary Bellevue Avenue in Newport, Rhode Island, where he designed homes and estates for more than 11 years with a staff of 8 Architects.

In 2003, Ron’s firm won the coveted Palladio Award, an award given to Architects by other Architects who exemplify the best proportions of the Greek and Roman principles. This award set his firm apart and brought them national recognition.

Over 8 years ago, in 2007, Ron decided to relocate his practice to Jamestown, where he renovated a small cottage in town for their new office. The firm continues to practice here. Ron’s team has been with him for a number of years and they all work together incredibly well. It is truly a collaborative approach resulting in the highest quality construction document sets in the industry for residential architecture.

Ron’s other passions include graphic design, product design, tennis, surfing and paddle boarding. Ron holds a patent for a home product as well as for a surf product called the WAX BUDDY. Ron is passionate about design, whether it is designing a simple product or creating incredible multi-building estates.
